School Management System - FAQs:Can I share the School Management System on a network? Can I print registers for individual study periods?
Can I share the School Management System on a network? Yes the programme is designed to work across a network. The only restriction is that all users must have the same path on a mapped drive to the data files. For example, if the database is stored in c:\programfiles\Serious Software\SMS\data on the master machine, then the whole of the C drive on that machine should be shared on the network and mapped as a network drive on other machines to ensure the path is the same in each case. Concurrent access to the database from many users is permitted.
Can I print registers for individual study periods? The programme supports the concept of a class as a single chargeable study session which repeats on a weekly basis. Registers can be produced for each class and show the appropriate session dates.
