About Serious Software
Serious Software was originally created to service a requirement for bespoke information
management systems for small businesses. Typically a client would approach
me with an idea about using their computing resources to improve the efficiency
of their operation. I would then develop this into a specification and
develop an application to meet their exact and specific requirements.
The School Management System began life thus and now represents several years
of development effort in it's current form. The particular clients
involved originally were Theatre Schools but the system is equally suitable to
any institution offering a timetable of chargeable classes.
Other commitments have largely put pay to new application development on this
scale, and now
all my efforts are devoted to support and development of the existing
applications. Occasionally I still create software for other specific
applications that I may have personally.
Data Protection
Serious Software is registered with the Information Commissioner as a data
user and to declare the type and use of data that I hold for my business and on behalf of
my clients. I take data
protection very seriously and have taken steps to ensure nobody has access to
data I hold for any reason other than for my legitimate business requirements.
No information supplied to me by any client is ever passed on to any third party
without the consent of the clients concerned.
